Strawberry Pie

Fathers Day is a great day for Strawberry Pie. 

I made 2 lg 12 inch pies. So I did this recipe x3.

Make sure to let the mixture set up well. I like to mix the strawberries and gelatin mixture together. Maybe even put it in the refrigerator for 20 minutes before putting in the pie crust.

Karla's Chicken Salad

5 cups cooked, diced, chicken or turkey

1 1/2 to 2 c red rapes liced in half

2 c diced celery

1 can of water chestnuts chopped

Dash of soy

1 c slivered almonds

1-2 Tbsp lemon juice

2 chopped green onions

1 1/2 c mayonaise

Salt and Pepper to taste

German Pancakes

If you want a quick breakfast or fast dinner idea this is it.
Mom used to double this and make it in a huge broiler pan. My family loves it.

German Pancakes:
6   eggs
1  cup milk
1  cup flour
1⁄2 teaspoon salt
1/2c. butter
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
Place butter in 9x13 baking dish and place in oven to melt butter,tilt to coat bottom of pan.
Place remaining ingredients in blender jar, blend until smooth.
Pour into buttered baking dish.
Bake for 20 minutes or until golden.
Pretty easy to half and bake in a 9x9 for 15 min.


Or put in muffin tins and bake for 12 min.

We Syrup, strawberries and cream on ours.
Any kind of Syrup, jam, or fruit makes a great meal.
